About

Freelance bookkeeper, Mesa, Arizona, 42. Small business clients: reconciliations, payroll, quarterly reports. I've been divorced since 2022, and when I started dating again I got careful the way anyone raising kids on their own gets careful. I subscribed to TruthFinder. Started running lookups on Hinge matches before agreeing to meet them in person.

The first search turned up a mailing address in a city the man had told me he'd never lived in. I saved the screenshot. We didn't go on a second date. After that the lookups kept coming and I kept notes: which services returned real records, which ones recycled stale data, which ones made you jump through three screens to get to the part that actually mattered. Over three years: over 60 lookups across first dates, contractor checks, babysitter vetting, and a cousin trying to reconnect after twenty years I hadn't heard from him.

I've paid for TruthFinder, Spokeo, BeenVerified, and PeopleFinders, roughly $200 across subscriptions. Not a PI, not a paralegal, no professional credentials in this area at all. A bookkeeper who runs searches out of practical necessity and has developed opinions about which services are worth the money. That's what the reviews here are based on.
